Chapter 9 - THE TRUE HEIR TO THE THRONESilence blanketed the grand ballroom, broken only by the quiet hum of the lighting rigs and the shutter clicks of the press cameras capturing every detail of the downfall of the Vance family traitors.

Daniel adjusted the cuffs of his shirt, stepped up to the center podium, and picked up the microphone. He looked out across the room—past the retreating journalists, past the trembling board members, and straight into the camera lenses broadcasting his face across the globe.

"To our partners, our employees, and our shareholders," Daniel began, his voice steady, resonant, and filled with absolute authority. "The era of greed, backstabbing, and corruption within Vance Global is officially over. My family built this enterprise on hard work, innovation, and integrity. We are returning to those core principles starting tonight."

Flashbulbs illuminated the stage like lightning storms.

"Effective immediately," Daniel continued, "all stolen assets will be recovered and reinvested into global humanitarian infrastructure projects. And to anyone who ever doubted whether justice still exists... let this be your answer."

He turned away from the podium, leaving the stage as the storm of applause began to rise from the few remaining loyalists in the back of the room.

Two hours later, Daniel walked through the grand iron gates of the Vance Estate under a sky full of glittering stars.

Inside the warmly lit living room, Elena sat on the plush velvet sofa, gently rocking baby Lily to sleep while soft lullabies played from a vintage phonograph. When she heard the heavy front door open, she looked up, her eyes shining with unshed tears of relief and love.

Daniel walked over, kneeling beside her chair, burying his face in her hands and pressing a soft kiss to her knuckles.

"It’s over, my love," Daniel whispered. "Victoria is locked away. David is exposed. No one will ever threaten us again."

Elena cupped his face with her warm palm, smiling softly. "I never doubted you for a second, Daniel. Not even when we were hanging over the edge of that cliff."
