Chapter 19 - The Unwritten PageWinter brought the first blanket of pristine white snow across the estate grounds, transforming the sprawling lawns into a quiet, peaceful wonderland.

I stood by the massive stone fireplace in the ancestral study, holding a cup of hot spiced cider while watching the flames dance against the dark cedar logs. My mother walked in, carrying a thick, leather-bound journal with blank parchment pages.
"What’s that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Your grandfather’s old personal journal," Irene said, placing it gently on the coffee table beside me. "The last twenty pages are completely blank. He always said he left them for the person who would ultimately secure the family’s true legacy."

I picked up an antique fountain pen, uncapped it, and looked down at the empty white page. I thought back to the blindfolded groom, the stolen kiss, the ruined crystal necklace, the hidden camera in the molding, and the cold, terrifying realization that had almost broken me on my wedding night.
Then I thought of the fifty-fifth-floor boardroom, the federal courtroom gavels, the standing ovations at the charity galas, and the absolute, unshakeable power of a woman who refused to be a victim in her own story.
