Chapter 8 - THE PLOT THICKENS — THE BILLIONAIRE'S LOST HEIRThe revelation struck Andrés like a bolt of lightning.

Ofelia hadn't just stolen a random baby from a desperate stranger. She had stolen the sole heir to the Valdés industrial empire—one of the richest, most influential families in Mexico.
Licenciado Garza arrived at the site twenty minutes later, his eyes wide with disbelief as he reviewed the documents found inside the rusted lockbox.
"This changes everything, Andrés," Garza said, his voice dropping to an excited whisper. "Don Fernando Valdés has been searching for his missing grandchild for over two decades. His daughter—your biological mother—mysteriously vanished in 2001 while pregnant, and the family was told she died in a car crash abroad by a rival faction within the company."
"A rival faction..." Andrés muttered, looking toward the police vans where Ofelia and Bruno were currently being transferred to the state penitentiary. "My mother... Ofelia... wasn't acting alone back then, was she? She was just a greedy local nurse or midwife who happened to be working at the private clinic where my mother was hidden!"
"Exactly," Garza nodded. "And she seized the opportunity to steal you, raise you under an alias, and use your existence as insurance."
Just then, a sleek black armored Mercedes with tinted windows pulled up behind the police barricades. Two private security guards in sharp suits stepped out, followed by an elderly, distinguished man with silver hair, walking with the heavy, commanding presence of absolute power.
It was Don Fernando Valdés himself.
He stepped through the police tape, his sharp green eyes scanning the chaotic scene before locking directly onto Andrés.
Fernando stopped dead in his tracks. He stared at Andrés’s face—at the jawline, the height, the exact shape of his eyes—and a collective gasp escaped the billionaire's lips.
"My God..." Fernando whispered, his voice trembling as tears welled up in his aged eyes. "Elena... you found her."
"I am not Elena," Andrés said evenly, standing tall, his arms crossed over his chest. "I am Andrés. At least... that’s what I was raised to call myself."
Fernando rushed forward, ignoring the police tape, and grabbed Andrés by the shoulders, pulling him into a fierce, desperate embrace that caught Andrés completely off guard.

"You have your mother's eyes," Fernando sobbed quietly against Andrés's shoulder. "For twenty-five years, I searched for my daughter's child. They told me he was gone forever."
As the cameras flashed from behind the barricades and local reporters shouted questions, Andrés looked over his grandfather's shoulder and saw Jimena watching from the SUV, smiling through her tears, knowing their lives would never be the same again.
