Chapter 7 - The Final ArrivalBefore Malcolm could process her words, the heavy double doors of the office swung open.

Two federal agents in dark suits stepped into the room, flanked by building security. They didn't smile. They didn't hesitate.
“Malcolm Vance?” the lead agent asked, stepping forward.
Malcolm turned around slowly, his face drained of all color. He looked back at Elena one last time, searching for a shred of the woman who used to love him, but found only absolute, unbreakable indifference.
“You’re making a mistake,” Malcolm muttered weakly, his hands dropping to his sides as cold steel cuffs were clamped around his wrists. “She set me up! This is all her!”
“Mr. Vance,” Silas Reed said smoothly from the corner, stepping into the light. “Every single transaction, forged signature, and hidden asset has been fully documented and legally verified. You didn't need anyone to set you up. You did a masterclass job all by yourself.”
The agents turned him toward the door. As they dragged him past the glass partition, Malcolm cast one final, desperate look back into the office.

The heavy oak doors clicked shut, locking him out forever.
