Chapter 7 - The Tables Turn"Shoot him!" Harrison screamed, panic cracking his voice as he stumbled backward into the arms of the tactical operatives. "Kill him right now! Drop him!"

The lead operative raised his assault rifle, his finger tightening on the trigger.
Clack.
The weapon didn't fire.
The operative blinked, confused, and slapped the side of his rifle, trying to rack the charging handle. Nothing happened. The firing pin had been cleanly sheared off, and the magazine release catch hung loose by a tiny strip of metal.
The other three operatives checked their weapons in unison, their eyes going wide with sudden, sickening realization.
Sebastian let out a cold, humorless chuckle.
"You boys really think I walked into Pine Valley Children's Hospital completely unarmed and unprepared?" Sebastian asked, tilting his head. "My men didn't just stay outside the building, gentlemen. They secured the armory three hours ago while you were busy planning your little trap."
From the shadows of the darkened hallway behind Harrison, three massive figures stepped out of the gloom, dressed in matte-black tactical gear bearing the insignia of Moretti’s private security detail. Each of them held heavy-caliber suppressed sidearms pointed squarely at the backs of Harrison's mercenaries.
"Drop your weapons. Now," Moretti's lead enforcer growled, pressing the barrel of his sidearm against the back of the lead mercenary's flak jacket.
The tactical operatives didn't hesitate. They dropped their rifles to the linoleum floor with a heavy clatter, raising their hands slowly in the air.
Dr. Harrison dropped to his knees, trembling violently, staring up at Sebastian like he was looking straight into the gates of hell.
"Please," Harrison wept, grabbing the hem of Sebastian's trousers. "Please, Sebastian—we can make a deal! The judge, he has millions hidden offshore—we can split it! Just don't kill me!"
Sebastian looked down at the trembling doctor with utter disgust, slowly pulling his pant leg away from the man's grasp.
"I don't want your money, Arthur," Sebastian said quietly. "And I certainly don't want your deals. I want the truth. And I want the ledger containing the names of every single child you and Judge Miller trafficked out of St. Jude's seventeen years ago—including my son."

Harrison sobbed hysterically, burying his face in his hands. "It's... it's in my office safe! The master drive! Everything is there! Every name, every adoption file, every penny!"
"Good," Sebastian replied, nodding to his enforcer. "Tie him up and secure the perimeter. Nurse Evans, bring the baby."
