Chapter 4 - HE TRIED TO STEAL HER NEWBORN BABIES FOR RANSOM, BUT THE DNA TEST UNCOVERED A HORRIFIC FAMILY SECRET!

Three days after the arrest, Adrián was miraculously released on a heavy bail, funded by a mysterious, shady high-interest lender who specialized in desperate criminals. He was manic, his clothes wrinkled, his eyes bloodshot. He knew he was facing twenty years in prison unless he could force Valeria to drop the charges.
And he knew exactly how to do it.
With Celeste’s help, Adrián tracked down the private medical transport vehicle that was scheduled to take Valeria and the triplets from Hospital San Ángel to the secure Montes estate in Las Lomas.
Under the cover of a rainy Tuesday evening, Adrián and two hired thugs blocked the transport van in an alleyway just two blocks from the hospital. Armed with crowbars, they smashed the driver’s window and forced the doors open.
"Get the babies!" Adrián roared, his voice cracking with madness. "Get the triplets! She won't prosecute if I have her precious sons!"
He tore open the back doors of the van, expecting to see a crying Valeria clutching three infants.
Instead, he found himself staring into the barrels of three tactical shotguns held by undercover federal marshals. Sitting calmly in the center of the armored van was Valeria, holding a warm cup of tea. There were no babies in sight; they had been moved to a secure military-grade transport hours earlier.
"Adrián," Valeria said softly, taking a sip. "I knew you were stupid. I didn't know you were suicidal."
"Drop your weapons!" the marshals shouted, slamming Adrián and his thugs into the wet asphalt.
As Adrián’s face was pressed into the mud, he screamed like a wild animal. "You can't keep them from me! They are my sons! I have paternal rights! I will drag your name through every tabloid in the world! You are a monster, Valeria! A monster who stole my children!"
Valeria stepped down from the van, protected by a large umbrella held by her security chief. She looked down at him with a mixture of pity and revulsion. She pulled a sealed medical envelope from her coat pocket.
"I'm glad you brought up your parental rights, Adrián," she said, dropping the envelope onto his wet back. "Because while you were busy forging my signature on divorce papers, I was running routine medical screenings on Mateo, Emiliano, and Bruno. Since they were triplets, the hospital required an advanced genetic compatibility mapping for potential blood transfusions."
Adrián froze, his breathing hitched against the cold mud. "What... what are you talking about?"
"The doctors noticed something strange, Adrián. The babies have an O-negative blood type. I am AB-positive," Valeria explained, her voice steady, lethal, and completely devoid of emotion. "Basic biology dictates that for a child to have O-negative blood when the mother is AB, the father must possess a highly specific, rare recessive genetic marker. Do you know what your blood type is, Adrián? You gave blood last year during your corporate physical. You are A-positive with zero recessive markers."
Adrián’s eyes went wide. "No... that's impossible. They are my kids! We did IVF!"
"Yes, we did IVF at the clinic your uncle owns," Valeria said, leaning down slightly. "The clinic where Celeste’s aunt works as the senior lab technician. We ran a deep DNA match against the national database to see whose genetic material was actually used to fertilize my eggs."
Valeria paused, letting the rain beat against the envelope.
"The triplets aren't yours, Adrián. They are the biological children of your younger brother, Mauricio. The brother you've been secretly paying off for years to cover up your fertility issues so you wouldn't lose your corporate standing. You aren't their father. You're just a fraud who genetically assaulted his own wife."

Adrián’s jaw dropped. The thugs he hired looked at each other in horror. The ultimate betrayal wasn't from Valeria; it was from his own family, who had manipulated the fertility treatment to keep the Velasco name attached to the Montes fortune.
"Take him away," Valeria ordered the marshals. "Attempted kidnapping of children that aren't even legally his. Add it to the pile."
