🔥 CHAPTER 8 — THE BROTHER WHO SOLD HIS OWN TWIN

The trial entered its fourth week.
The prosecution had built a devastating case.
But Daniel still believed blood was thicker than fear.
He expected Michael to remain loyal.
He was wrong.
One morning, federal prosecutors announced an emergency hearing.
Michael had agreed to testify.
The courtroom erupted.
Daniel jumped to his feet.
"You can't do this!"
Michael refused to meet his brother's eyes.
For years, they had shared everything.
Money.
Power.
Secrets.
Now...
they shared only hatred.
Michael spoke for nearly six hours.
He confessed to falsifying shipping records.
Creating shell companies.
Bribing officials.
Destroying evidence.
Helping stage multiple "accidental" deaths at sea.
Then he revealed something that stunned everyone.
"It wasn't Daniel's idea to kill Emily."
The courtroom froze.
Michael lowered his head.
"It was mine."
Daniel stared at him in disbelief.
"You liar!"
Michael continued.
"When Emily recorded our conversation, I knew she'd never stop searching."
"I told Daniel the only solution was to make her disappear."
Daniel's lawyer buried his face in his hands.
The confession destroyed their final defense.
But Michael wasn't finished.
"There was another reason."
He slowly turned toward Emily.
"I was the one who sent you that anonymous warning."
Emily frowned.
"What?"
Michael nodded.
"The phone call."
"'If you want to stay alive, stop asking your husband questions.'"
"I made that call."
Emily's eyes widened.
"Why?"
Michael's voice cracked.
"Because I hoped you'd run away before Daniel went too far."
"I wanted you gone..."
"...not dead."
Daniel exploded with rage.
"You coward!"
"You planned everything with me!"
Michael looked back at him.
"No."
"I followed you because I was too weak to stop."
"For that..."
"I deserve prison."
"But you deserve worse."
The judge ordered silence as Daniel lunged toward his brother.
Bailiffs tackled him before he could reach the witness stand.
The twins who had once been inseparable now couldn't bear to look at each other.

Their empire had not been destroyed by the FBI.
It had collapsed from within.
