Chapter 6 - The Final Note of Betrayal

Viral Title: THE BOMB WAS A DISTRACTION! The Final, Mind-Blowing Plot Twist That No One Saw Coming! 🤯💥💥The explosion tore through the old Vance ruins, lighting up the night sky in a brilliant, horrific fireball.

A mile away, parked in a black luxury SUV, Anna, Victor, and Hope watched the flames reflect in the wet glass.

"It's over," Anna breathed, a massive weight lifting from her shoulders. She looked at the briefcase full of signed transfer documents and the hard drives containing Arthur’s offshore millions. "We did it. We are free, Victor. Hope will never have to beg again."

Victor started the engine, a dark smirk on his face. "We are free, Anna. But there's just one little detail we need to clean up."

He drove the SUV toward the private airfield where a chartered jet was waiting to take them to a non-extradition country. The tension in the car was thick, but it felt like the tension of victory.

They boarded the private jet. As the plane reached cruising altitude, escaping the jurisdiction of their past, Anna poured three glasses of expensive sparkling apple cider—one for her, one for Victor, and one for Hope.

"To the perfect symphony," Anna proposed, raising her glass.

They all drank.

Within two minutes, Anna’s glass shattered on the floor. She grabbed her throat, gasping for air. Her eyes widened in sheer terror as her muscles paralyzed. She looked at Victor, who was also gasping, his hands clawing at his neck, blood pouring from his nose.

"Vic... tor..." Anna choked out, collapsing onto the carpet of the jet. "The... the cider..."

Victor fell beside her, seizing violently. The poison was fast, agonizing, and absolute.

Through her fading, blurred vision, Anna looked up.

Hope was sitting in her leather seat, calmly sipping her drink. Her glass was perfectly fine. She looked down at her dying mother and the dying Victor with the cool, calculating gaze of a seasoned predator.

From the front cabin of the jet, the curtain pulled back. A man stepped out, wearing a sharp suit.

Anna’s heart nearly stopped before the poison could kill her.

It was Arthur Vance. He was alive. The gunshot wound had been staged; the explosion had been a prop.

Arthur walked over, looked at the dying bodies of his treacherous wife and his treasonous head of security, and knelt down next to Hope. He placed his hand gently on the little girl's head.

"Good job, my sweet girl," Arthur whispered.

The ultimate plot twist unravels: Hope was never Anna and Victor's weapon.

Eight years ago, Arthur had found out about Anna and Victor's affair. He was the one who staged the fire to eliminate them, but Victor had managed to smuggle a baby out. Arthur had spent the last eight years tracking them. When he found them, he didn't attack. Instead, he approached Hope in secret a year ago. He offered her a choice: stay with a scarred, vengeful mother and a fugitive security guard living in poverty, or help her billionaire father eliminate them permanently and inherit the world.

Hope had chosen the empire.

She had willingly played the part, learned the song, worn the dirty dress, and walked into that ballroom knowing exactly how the night would end. The diary under the bed? Placed there by Hope to eliminate Julianna, who was an annoyance to Arthur's long-term plans.

"Is it finally ours, Father?" Hope asked, her voice devoid of any childhood innocence, completely cold and sharp.

Arthur picked up the briefcase containing all his wealth, fully secured and consolidated, free of any threats.

"Yes, Hope," Arthur smiled, looking out the airplane window into the endless clouds. "It's all ours. Now, go ahead. Play me our song."

Hope smiled—a genuine, terrifying smile—as she opened a digital keyboard built into the private jet's console, and the haunting melody began to play once more, echoing over the corpses of those who thought they could outsmart the Vance legacy.
