Chapter 11

"Let's cut the corporate theater, Ronan," Vance sneered, slamming a heavy folder onto the table. "Your supply chain relies on our logistics network. Cancel your little stunt with that servant, reinstate Vivienne’s ring publicly, or we pull every freight liner you have docked in the harbor by nightfall."
A ripple of anxious murmurs ran through the board members. Several long-time investors shifted uncomfortably in their seats, waiting to see how the mafia boss would handle a direct threat to his empire.
Ronan remained entirely unbothered. He leaned back, resting his chin on his knuckles. "Fascinating proposal, Vance. But before you amputate my shipping routes, perhaps you should look at page four of the dossier my head of household operations prepared this morning."
Vance scoffed. "A maid's dossier? You brought a servant to a corporate board meeting?"
May you like
"She isn't a maid anymore," Ronan corrected softly, his dark eyes flashing with danger. "She’s the one who just audited your family’s offshore shell companies."
Ivy calmly tapped her screen, and a digital projector at the front of the room flickered to life, illuminating a complex web of illegal tax evasion, falsified manifests, and hidden bribery ledgers belonging directly to the Vance family holdings.
