Chapter 1 - The Blood-Stained Street and the Ultimate BetrayalThe screech of tires cut through the morning air like a knife.

A sleek black Mercedes swerved violently, missing the triplets by inches. The driver slammed on the brakes, leaning out the window to scream curses at the pedestrians, completely unaware of the domestic catastrophe unfolding on the asphalt.
Emily dropped her worn-out suitcase. The plastic wheels clicked against the curb as it tipped over, spilling a few meager belongings onto the pavement. She didn't care. Her entire world had narrowed down to three tiny, trembling figures launching themselves into her arms.
"Miss Emily! Don't leave us! She's a monster!"
Five-year-old Liam sobbed hysterically, burying his bruised face into the navy fabric of her housekeeper uniform.
Ethan and Noah clung to her legs, their little bodies shaking with a terror that no child should ever have to experience. Their knees were scraped raw, their clothes torn at the seams, and crimson drops of blood dripped from Noah’s left arm onto the pristine concrete.
Emily dropped to her knees, pulling them into a fierce, protective embrace. "I've got you. I'm right here. Shh, babies, I've got you."
Footsteps pounded heavily behind them.
Richard Hawthorne skidded to a halt. The billionaire tech mogul, a man whose cold demeanor regularly paralyzed corporate boardrooms, was gasping for air. His tailored designer suit was wrinkled, his tie loosened, and his face was drained of all color.
For the first time in his life, Richard looked utterly defeated.
"Boys..." Richard’s voice cracked, raw and ragged. He reached out a trembling hand toward his sons. "Ethan... Noah... Liam... come back to Daddy."
Noah shrank back, burying his face deeper into Emily’s shoulder. He wrapped his tiny arms around her neck and hissed, "No! You hate Miss Emily! You believe the bad lady! You let her hurt us!"

Richard froze. His hand hovered in mid-air. "Hurt you? What are you talking about? Victoria would never..."
"She locked us in the panic room!" Ethan screamed, his eyes wide with wild, adrenaline-fueled fury. "She said if we cried for Miss Emily again, she’d throw us into the basement and throw away the key! She pushed Noah down the stairs when he tried to run to the phone!"
