Chapter 2 - The Midnight ArrestHeadline: "A 70th Birthday Spent in a Holding Cell: Doña Ofelia's Worst Nightmare Unfolds!"

The news of Don Ernesto's 70th birthday ending in a mass detainment spread through Zapopan's high-society gossip channels like wildfire. By 2:00 AM, Don Ernesto, Doña Ofelia, and Arturo were sitting on cold metal benches inside the Ministerio Público. The 300 guests—who had been forced to leave their cash-filled birthday gift envelopes with security to cover part of the food debt—were furious. Relatives had turned on Ofelia, screaming that she had humiliated the family name.
"Fix this, Arturo!" Ofelia sobbed, her grand hair tower falling completely apart. "Call your friends! Call the mayor! We cannot spend the night here like common criminals!"
"I can't call anyone, Mom!" Arturo yelled back, punching the concrete wall. "All my accounts are frozen! The bank says my company's corporate identity was flagged for fraudulent lease execution!"
Suddenly, a high-profile criminal defense attorney named Licenciado Rodrigo Valadez walked into the station, flanked by two junior partners. Arturo's eyes lit up with hope. "Rodrigo! Thank God! Did my uncle send you?"
Valadez didn't smile. He walked past Arturo and stood in front of the desk sergeant. "I am here representing the property management firm Grupo Alcázar, as well as the event venue. We are formally lodging charges of financial fraud, breach of contract, and intentional bad faith against Arturo Salgado and Ofelia Salgado."
Arturo stumbled forward, his face pale. "Rodrigo, what are you talking about? You've known me for five years! Who hired you?!"
Valadez turned around, adjusted his gold cufflinks, and gave a cold, professional smile. "My client hired me. The CEO of Grupo Alcázar. Mrs. Mariana Alcázar."
The room went deathly silent. Doña Ofelia choked on her own breath. Don Ernesto slowly looked up from his hands, his eyes wide with horror.
"M-Mariana?" Arturo stuttered, his voice cracking. "Mariana is an administrative assistant! She makes peanuts! She works for a small logistics firm!"

"Mariana Alcázar is the owner of the logistics firm, the venue's parent corporation, and the entire commercial strip your shoe store sits on, Señor Salgado," Valadez replied smoothly. "And as of 12:01 AM today, she has officially filed for a legal separation, emergency custody of her daughters, and full execution of all outstanding debts owed by your family."
CHAPTER 2 HOOK: Valadez pulled out a final sheet of paper and pressed it against the glass divider. "Oh, and Arturo? The luxury SUV you drove to the party? The lease is in Mariana's company name. The repo tow truck just picked it up from the venue parking lot ten minutes ago."
