Chapter 6 - The Fall of the Shoe KingHeadline: "Bankruptcy, Betrayal, and the Auction of Arturo Salgado's Pride!"

Within three weeks, the legal wave crushed Arturo's entire commercial existence. Without Mariana's quiet financial backing and subsidies, Arturo’s shoe business was exposed for what it truly was: a mismanaged, debt-ridden vanity project.
The court ordered a public liquidation auction of all assets belonging to Arturo's company to satisfy the outstanding rents and the venue's unpaid bill.
The auction took place in the grand courtyard of the very same venue in Zapopan where Don Ernesto's birthday had taken place weeks prior. Buyers, local business rivals, and curious spectators filled the seats.
Arturo stood in the corner, looking disheveled, unshaven, and wearing a cheap suit he had bought at a thrift store. Beside him stood Ofelia, her clothes wrinkled, forced to live in a small, rented two-bedroom apartment funded entirely by Don Ernesto’s remaining emergency savings.

"Item number 14," the auctioneer announced over the loudspeaker. "The trademark rights, remaining warehouse inventory, and commercial distribution contracts for Salgado Footwear. Bidding starts at 1 million pesos."
A rival businessman raised his paddle: "1.1 million!"
Another voice called out: "1.5 million!"
Then, a clear, authoritative voice from the front row spoke up: "5 million pesos."
The crowd gasped and turned.
Mariana stood up, wearing a stunning navy suit, flanked by her legal team. The entire room went silent.
"5 million pesos," the auctioneer repeated, trembling. "Going once... going twice... Sold to Mrs. Mariana Alcázar!"
Arturo ran down the aisle, security officers trying to grab him, but he fell to his knees in front of Mariana's table.

"Why, Mariana?!" Arturo sobbed publicly, his dignity completely shattered. "You bought my company?! You already took my house! You took my car! You took my daughters! Why take the shoes?!"
CHAPTER 6 HOOK: Mariana leaned down, looking directly into Arturo's bloodshot eyes. "I didn't buy your company to run it, Arturo. I bought it to dissolve it. As of today, Salgado Footwear ceases to exist. Your name will never appear on a storefront again."
