Chapter 2 - THE BOARDROOM AMBUSH“Exposed! The $50 Billion CEO and the Secret Kitchen Maid!”By 6:00 AM the next morning, news outlets had exploded into chaos.

Sensational tabloid headlines dominated every social media network:

"Billionaire Alexander Kane’s Secret Affair Revealed!"

"Scandal at the Grand Banquet: Kitchen Maid Claims Billion-Dollar Bloodline!"

"Kane Enterprises Stock Plummets 14% Amid Family Drama!"

Inside the penthouse of the Kane Tower, Alexander sat at his desk watching the stock tickers bleed red. Standing beside him was Elena, now wrapped in a cream cashmere sweater, looking overwhelmed by the hyper-luxurious apartment. In the adjacent room, seven-year-old Chloe was fast asleep on a plush velvet sofa.

Suddenly, the heavy double doors of the penthouse burst open.

In walked Arthur Sterling—the ruthless senior chairman of the Kane Enterprises Board of Directors—flanked by a squad of corporate lawyers. Right behind them stood Valeria, wearing oversized sunglasses and a smirk of pure malice.

"Alexander," Arthur barked, tossing a thick stack of papers onto the glass table. "The board has called an emergency session. Your personal life is destroying shareholder value."

"Arthur," Alexander replied calmly, not even rising from his chair. "You enter my home uninvited again, and security will throw you out the window."

"You don't own this company outright anymore!" Valeria chimed in smoothly, stepping into the light. "According to section 4B of the Kane Enterprises bylaws, if the CEO brings reputational damage exceeding ten percent of market capitalization, the board can force an immediate buyout!"

Elena gasped, stepping in front of Alexander defensively. "This is about me, isn't it? If my presence is ruining his life, I'll take Chloe and leave!"

"No one is leaving," Alexander said, standing up and wrapping an arm securely around Elena's waist.

"Oh, look at the protective prince saving the dishwasher," Valeria mocked. "Arthur and I already have sixty percent of the proxy votes. Unless you produce a legal, indisputable DNA match verified by the state board within twenty-four hours, the board will vote you out today at noon!"

"A DNA test takes three days," Alexander’s lead attorney whispered nervously. "Sir, they’ve set a trap."

CLIFFHANGER: Alexander looked down at his watch, then smiled a chilling, deadly smile. "You think this was a surprise attack, Arthur? Check your tablet right now."
