Chapter 1 - The Blueprint of BetrayalClare Bennett did not scream. She did not throw her laptop against the bedroom wall, nor did she weep over the white roses still smelling faintly of sugar and summer.

Instead, her fingers moved across the keyboard with the cold, rhythmic precision of a master architect dismantling a skyscraper.

As the co-owner of Bellweather Journeys, Clare spent her life orchestrating logistical masterpieces for the elite. She knew every loophole in international flight policies, every cancellation tier for luxury resorts, and every clause in high-end hospitality contracts.

Ethan thought he was simply swapping out a wife who stayed home for a friend who knew how to play the game. He thought he was saving face while keeping his favorite distraction close.

What he didn’t understand was that he had just handed the keys to the entire empire over to the person who built it.

"Let’s see how much you enjoy your champagne in seat 4A, Ethan," she whispered into the empty, sunlit apartment.

Her first call was to the general manager of the private island resort in the Maldives.

"Good morning, Mr. Sterling's reservation," the concierge answered smoothly. "How may Bellweather assist?"

"This is Clare Bennett-Cole," she said, her voice completely level. "I am modifying the master account for booking reference BRV-88429. I am canceling the entire package under my primary authorization."

"Pardon me, Mrs. Cole? The honeymoon package for two?"

"The honeymoon package is dissolved," Clare said. "Furthermore, cancel the private seaplane transfer. Cancel the underwater restaurant reservation. Cancel the sunset sailing charter and the photography package."

"Oh... of course, madam. Should I transfer any remaining credits to Mr. Cole's secondary profile?"

"No," Clare replied, a cold smile touching her lips. "Refund the entire balance back to the original funding source—my business account. And make a note in the system: if an unauthorized party attempts to check in under that reference number, flag it as a fraudulent reservation."

"Done," the concierge said, trained never to question a high-end planner.

Clare hung up the phone. Phase one was complete. Now, it was time to handle the marriage.
