Chapter 2 - The Crimson Ledger

Viral Title: HE STOOD UP FROM THE WHEELCHAIR AFTER 5 YEARS AND EXPOSED THE DEADLY SECRET BEHIND HIS FAMILY’S ACCIDENT!

The Obsidian Ballroom collapsed into utter mayhem. High-society women panicked, knocking over champagne towers as they sprinted for the exits. Billionaires who had spent the last five years mocking the "crippled Vance heir" scrambled to erase their association with Julian Sterling.

"Call the police! Shut down the live streams!" Julian screamed hysterically at his aides, his face dripping with sweat, his sophisticated facade completely shattered. "He's sick! He's delusional! He's off his medication!"

Noah took his first step forward. His leg shook violently, the unaccustomed muscles screaming in pain, but he planted his heel firmly. Step one. Step two. Each thud against the marble echoed like a death knell for the Sterling family empire.

Clara stood firmly beside him, extending her arm not to support him, but to act as his anchor. Noah wrapped his large, trembling hand around her soft fingers, using her grounding presence to steady his balance.

"Julian," Noah spoke, his voice growing stronger with every breath, echoing through the state-of-the-art sound system of the ballroom. "Five years ago, you told the press that my parents died because of an engine failure on the Vance Voyager. You told the court I suffered irreversible spinal trauma trying to swim out."

Noah held up the black USB drive Clara had given him.

"This drive doesn't just contain the medical proof of your poison," Noah continued, his eyes locked onto Julian’s terrified face. "It contains the encrypted telemetry logs from the yacht's navigation system. The remote detonation signal came from your private IP address in Zurich."

A gasping wave hit the remaining onlookers. Murder. It was no longer a story of corporate greed; it was a cold-blooded double homicide.

"You lie!" Julian shrieked, backing away until his spine hit the edge of the grand piano. "You have no proof! You were a teenager! You know nothing!"

"He doesn't have to prove it to you, Julian," Clara spoke up, stepping forward into the spotlight. "He just has to prove it to the board of directors. Which is currently watching this live stream."

Clara pointed a small control device at the giant LED screen behind the main stage—the screen meant to show Julian’s upcoming promotional video for his new tech monopoly.

Instead, the screen flickered, went black, and then flashed bright red.

Financial documents, hidden bank transactions, offshore account numbers, and chilling audio files began auto-playing at maximum volume.

Audio File playing over speakers: Julian’s Voice: "Make sure the boy lives, but make sure he can never walk or speak clearly. If he dies, the trust fund reverts to the state charities. If he stays an invalid, I remain the sole legal guardian of his shares forever."

The room went deadly silent again, save for the horrifying sound of Julian’s own voice confessing to his heinous crimes.

"You... who are you?!" Julian screamed, pointing a shaking finger at Clara. "Who sent you?! Who gave you those files?!"

Clara pulled off her white lace gloves, revealing a terrifying tattoo etched onto her left wrist—a silver raven clutching a broken crown.

Julian’s eyes widened in absolute, paralyzing terror. "The Raven Society... No... They were wiped out!"

"We were never wiped out, Julian," Clara said, her voice dropping into a chilling, calm tone. "We were just waiting for Noah to reach his 25th birthday. The day the blood oath expires."

Before Julian could answer, the heavy wooden doors of the ballroom were slammed open. Heavy tactical boots thundered across the room. A squad of masked Federal Agents armed with assault rifles flooded the venue, their red laser sights dotting Julian Sterling’s chest and forehead.

"Julian Sterling! Federal Bureau of Investigation!" the lead agent barked, holding up a federal warrant. "You are under arrest for corporate treason, attempted murder, illegal chemical warfare, and the assassinations of Arthur and Eleanor Vance!"

Julian looked around wildly. His guards had already thrown down their weapons and put their hands on their heads. His high-society allies were actively recording his downfall on their phones.

As the agents tackled Julian to the ground, forcing his face against the cold, champagne-soaked floor, Julian looked up, his eyes bloodshot, screaming at Noah.

"You think you won, Noah?! You think this girl is saving you?!" Julian laughed maniacally, spit flying from his lips as the handcuffs clicked into place. "She’s not your savior! She’s the daughter of the man who pushed the button on your father's boat! She’s a Sterling!"

Noah’s heart stopped. The world seemed to freeze once more.

Slowly, Noah turned his head to look at Clara.

Clara did not look away. A single teardrop escaped her eye, glinting in the crystal light, but her expression remained dangerously cold.
