CHAPTER 3 – The Signature That Changed Everything

Richard Carter slammed his hand on the table.

“This woman is a liar.”

But Evelyn didn’t move.

She simply looked at Daniel and said,

“Ask him why your mother’s grave has no body in it.”

Daniel’s face turned white.

Lily clung to his hand.

“Daddy… why is Grandpa scared?”

Before Daniel could answer, the boardroom screen suddenly turned on by itself.

A video began playing.

It showed Richard twenty-three years ago, standing beside a hospital bed, whispering to a nurse.

“Make sure my wife never sees the baby again.”

Daniel stepped back as if he had been shot.

His father had not protected him.

His father had stolen him.

Evelyn’s voice broke.

“I signed the company over to you when you were born, Daniel. Your father was only supposed to manage it until you turned thirty.”

Daniel stared at Richard.

“I turned thirty three years ago.”

Richard’s silence said everything.

Then Evelyn placed one final document on the table.

A transfer order.

A hidden trust.

And Daniel’s real inheritance.

Richard suddenly lunged forward to grab it—

But Lily picked it up first.

And from behind the final page, a second photograph slipped out.

Daniel froze.

It wasn’t just his mother in the picture.

There was another baby beside him.

A twin.

And beneath the photo were three words:

Find your brother.
