CHAPTER 1: THE LITTLE GIRL WHO RUINED A FAIRYTALE WEDDING

No one noticed the little girl standing quietly outside the grand white chapel.
Not at first.
She wore a simple blue dress that her grandmother had sewn by hand. Her blonde curls rested neatly on her shoulders, and both hands tightly hugged a tiny white teddy bear.
Eight-year-old Lily had only one mission.
"Mommy said... give Daddy this letter."
She repeated those words over and over, afraid she might forget them.
The wedding guests, dressed in designer suits and glittering gowns, barely spared her a glance. To them, she looked like another child who had wandered into the wrong place.
But inside the envelope she carried...
...was the truth her father had spent eight years burying.
Inside the chapel, everything looked perfect.
Crystal chandeliers reflected across polished marble floors.
A string quartet played softly.
Hundreds of wealthy guests smiled as billionaire real estate developer Adrian Blackwood adjusted his tuxedo before walking toward his bride.
The media adored him.
Business magazines called him America's most eligible billionaire.
Today's wedding was being livestreamed to millions.
Standing beside him was Vanessa Sterling, daughter of a powerful senator.
The marriage would unite two empires.
Everything had been planned down to the last flower.
Except...
No one had planned for Lily.
Outside, Lily hesitated before approaching the security guard.
"Excuse me..."
Her tiny voice barely carried.
"I need to see my daddy."
The guard frowned.
"Who's your father?"
She smiled innocently.
"Mr. Adrian."
The guard laughed.
"You and about a hundred other kids."
Nearby guests chuckled.
One woman rolled her eyes.
"Someone remove this child."
Lily lowered her head.
She almost turned away...
Until Adrian's personal assistant noticed the envelope in her hand.
Written across the front in elegant handwriting were four simple words:
FOR ADRIAN. URGENT.
The assistant carried it inside.
She never imagined that one envelope would destroy everything.
Minutes later...
The wedding ceremony began.
The minister smiled warmly.
"If anyone objects to this marriage..."
Silence.
Vanessa smiled.
Adrian squeezed her hand confidently.
Then—
The chapel doors burst open.
The assistant rushed toward him, breathing hard.
"Sir... this little girl insists this belongs to you."
She handed him the envelope.
Adrian's smile disappeared.
Because he immediately recognized the handwriting.
Emily.
His former fiancée.
The woman everyone believed had disappeared eight years ago.
His hands trembled.
Impossible.
She was supposed to...
No.
That couldn't be.
He quickly forced a smile.
"It's nothing."
He slipped the letter into his pocket without opening it.
But from the last pew...
Lily suddenly called out with complete innocence.
"Daddy?"
The entire chapel froze.
More than four hundred guests slowly turned around.
Adrian's blood ran cold.
Lily smiled brightly.
"Mommy said you promised you'd always come home."
Vanessa looked at Adrian.
"...Who is she?"
For the first time in years...
The billionaire had no answer.
His mind raced.
This wasn't supposed to happen.
Eight years ago, he'd paid an enormous amount of money to make Emily disappear from his life forever.
The pregnancy.
The DNA records.
The hospital files.
Everything.
Or so he believed.
If the media discovered Lily was his daughter...
The merger.
The wedding.
The election campaign.
Everything would collapse.
He had only one choice.
He knelt before Lily with the warm smile cameras loved.
"Sweetheart..."
"You've mistaken me for someone else."
Lily looked confused.
"But Mommy showed me your picture every birthday."
Her innocent words echoed through the silent chapel.
The guests began whispering.
Phones slowly appeared.
Someone had already started recording.
Adrian forced another smile.
Then gently signaled his chief of security.
A tiny movement almost nobody noticed.
Except one man.
The wedding photographer.
The photographer watched as Adrian subtly pointed toward a side hallway.
The security chief nodded.
Seconds later...
One female wedding coordinator approached Lily.
"Sweetheart..."
"I have candy backstage."
"Come with me."
Lily smiled politely.
"Really?"
The woman nodded.
Lily followed.
No one stopped her.
Everyone's attention remained on Adrian.
No one realized...
The little girl had just disappeared.
And that was exactly what Adrian wanted.
Five minutes later...
The ceremony continued.
The minister awkwardly laughed.
"A minor misunderstanding."
Guests slowly relaxed.
Music resumed.
Vanessa forced a smile.
Adrian finally breathed again.
Until—
The wedding photographer noticed something strange on one of his wireless monitors.
A hallway security camera had unexpectedly switched on.
It showed Lily.
Crying.
Locked inside a storage room.
And Adrian's security chief saying coldly:
"Keep her here until the wedding ends."
The photographer frowned.
Why...
...was that hallway camera recording?
He had never installed one there.
What no one knew...
Was that someone else already had.
Someone who had been waiting eight years for this exact moment.
And somewhere inside the enormous cathedral...
A tiny hidden camera blinked once.
Recording...
May you like
Everything.
