CHAPTER 3: "The Secret Son Arrived With One Sentence That Silenced Everyone"
Ryan was being dragged toward the police car when a little boy ran through the mansion gates.
"Mom!"
Emily froze.
Every guest turned.
The boy was only seven, holding an old teddy bear and a folded letter in his tiny hand.
Ryan’s face changed instantly.
"No..." he whispered.
Emily knelt as the boy ran into her arms.
Behind him stood a woman in a nurse’s uniform, trembling.
"I’m sorry," the nurse said. "I couldn’t hide him anymore."
Emily opened the letter.
Her hands shook.
It was written by Ryan’s father before he died.
Emily, if you are reading this, then Ryan has shown his true face. The boy is my grandson... but Ryan is not my son.
The crowd gasped.
Ryan screamed, "Shut up!"
But it was too late.
The attorney stepped forward.
"DNA results confirm Ryan Carter was adopted after the real heir disappeared as a baby."
Emily looked down at the little boy.
The child whispered, "Grandpa said you would protect me."
Emily hugged him tightly.
Then the attorney revealed the final document.
"According to the will, Emily is not just the owner of the company."
"She is also the legal guardian of the true Carter heir."
Ryan collapsed.
He had lost the woman.
Lost the company.
Lost the family name.
And now...
The child he tried to erase had returned to take everything back.
Emily stood, holding the boy’s hand.
She looked at Ryan one last time.
"You wanted me humiliated in front of everyone."
"Now everyone knows the truth."
As the police car door slammed shut, Ryan’s scream echoed through the night.
