CHAPTER 4 — The Man They Begged to Return

An hour later...
News crews surrounded Harrington Global.
Employees refreshed social media in disbelief.
"Corporate Spy Was Innocent."
"CEO Exposes Multi-Million Dollar Internal Fraud."
"Executive Board Under Criminal Investigation."
Inside the building...
Melissa was escorted out in handcuffs.
She screamed at everyone passing by.
"This isn't over!"
Nobody answered.
Not one person.
Meanwhile...
Richard Harrington sat alone in the executive conference room.
Across from him...
An empty chair.
It belonged to Daniel.
Richard sighed.
"We owe him more than an apology."
The HR director nodded nervously.
"We've called him fourteen times."
"No answer."
"His phone is off."
Richard stood.
"Find him."
"We've already sent drivers."
"Not enough."
"The company jet is ready."
"Still not enough."
Everyone looked confused.
Richard turned toward the legal team.
"Prepare a new employment contract."
"What position, sir?"
Richard smiled for the first time all day.
"Not employee."
The room went silent.
"He'll report directly to me."
Gasps echoed through the conference room.
Someone whispered...
"That's impossible."
Richard shook his head.
"No."
"The impossible..."
"...was believing Daniel betrayed us."
Hours later...
Daniel sat alone on a quiet park bench, staring at the cardboard box that now held everything left from eight years of loyalty.
His phone had been switched off.
He didn't know...
That the richest man in the company...
Was personally searching every street in the city to find him.
But Daniel was hiding more than heartbreak.
At the bottom of the cardboard box...
Beneath an old family photo...
Lay a sealed envelope marked:
"Only open if they discover the truth."
Inside was evidence so devastating...
May you like
It wouldn't just destroy the corrupt executives.
It would expose the real owner of the stolen fortune—and reveal that someone far more powerful had orchestrated everything from the very beginning.
