Chapter 4 - THE BOARDROOM BETRAYAL — Stripped of the Empire

Alexander stood before the board of directors. The air in the room was thick with hostility.

"Alexander, your personal scandals are destroying this company," the senior board member, Arthur Sterling, declared, adjusting his glasses. "We have voted unanimously to invoke the morality clause. You are officially removed as CEO of Blake Medical Systems, effective immediately. Your access to the company servers has been revoked."

Alexander looked at the faces of the men and women he had made rich. None of them would look him in the eye.

"You think this is about a scandal?" Alexander’s voice resonated with a chilling authority that made Arthur flinch. "You all knew about Project Genesis. You knew what my father was doing. You're forcing me out now because whoever controls those girls controls the future of medicine, and you want a piece of the profit."

Arthur’s silence was confession enough.

"Keep the company," Alexander said, throwing his executive badge onto the mahogany table. It slid across the wood and hit the floor. "Keep the billions. But remember this day. Because when I am done protecting those children, I will come back for every single one of your chairs."

He walked out of the boardroom, completely stripped of his corporate empire, his wealth frozen by an emergency injunction. For the first time in his life, Alexander Blake had nothing. No guards, no money, no corporate shield.

He was just a man with a promise to keep.

He met Marcus in the underground parking garage. Marcus handed him a duffel bag filled with unregistered tactical gear and a single burner phone. "The board froze my security clearance too, boss. But I’m not leaving you. We do this dirty."

"No," Alexander said, taking the bag. "Stay with Lily at the safe house. If I don't make it back, take her and disappear. Don't let them find her."

"Alexander—"

"That's an order, Marcus." Alexander climbed into a battered, ordinary SUV—the Maybach was gone, seized by the bank. He fired up the engine, his eyes locked on the digital map guiding him to Pier 42.
