Chapter 10 - The Unbreakable CrownThe morning sun broke over the Manhattan skyline, casting a golden, brilliant light across the glass facade of Hartwell Advanced Textiles.

Downstairs in the marble reception area, Maya Collins sat behind the desk, her expression professional and alert as the morning rush of employees began to stream through the revolving doors.
At precisely 8:58 a.m., the main elevator chimed.
The doors slid open, and Claire Hartwell stepped out.
She wore a tailored charcoal wool coat over her navy suit, her posture immaculate, her steps confident and unhurried. She didn't slip through the side doors or avoid eye contact. She walked right down the center of the lobby, her presence commanding immediate, respectful attention from every employee in the room.
Maya stood up quickly, offering a bright, genuine smile.
"Good morning, Ms. Hartwell," Maya said clearly, her voice ringing with newfound respect.
Claire paused at the reception desk, offering a warm, affirming nod.
"Good morning, Maya," Claire replied smoothly. "And by the way... no one will ever have to wait like a stranger in this building again."
Maya beamed, her eyes following the CEO as she turned toward the private executive elevators.
Upstairs on the third floor, the newly appointed CFO, Evan Cole, was already waiting by the double doors with a fresh stack of architectural blueprints for the Massachusetts factories and a consolidated audit report of the entire global supply chain.

She pushed them open wide, stepping into the morning light as the true, undisputed sovereign of her family’s legacy. The empire of lies was dead, and from its ashes, a stronger, unbreakable kingdom had finally risen.
