Chapter 10 - THE KING’S VOWOne year later.

The grand ballroom of the Moretti estate was once again filled with crystal chandeliers, soft classical music, and the low, respectful murmurs of the most powerful leaders, diplomats, and business figures in Europe. But this time, there was no fear in the air—only absolute, unbreakable loyalty.
There were no hidden poisons. No electric wheelchairs. No dark secrets waiting in the shadows.
Tonight was the night.
The heavy oak doors slowly swung open, and the entire ballroom fell completely silent.
Elena walked down the grand marble staircase. She wore a breathtaking, floor-length ivory silk gown embroidered with delicate silver lace, a soft veil cascading down her back, and a bouquet of white roses cradled gently in her hands.
At the bottom of the staircase stood little Maya, wearing a matching miniature flower-girl dress, scattering fresh rose petals along the path with a radiant, proud grin.
Waiting at the altar, impeccably tailored in a sharp black tuxedo with a single white rose pinned to his lapel, stood Luca Moretti.
As Elena reached the final step, Luca stepped forward, taking her trembling, beautiful hand in his. His eyes shone with a depth of emotion that no enemy weapon, no betrayal, and no poison could ever destroy.
"You look stunning," Luca whispered, his voice thick with uncontainable emotion.
"You took your time getting here," Elena whispered back with a teasing, loving smile.
"Twelve years was a long time to wait," Luca replied, smiling warmly as he kissed the back of her hand, "but it was worth every single second to find my way back to you."

The priest stepped forward, clearing his throat gently, and the entire ballroom leaned in as the sacred vows began.
High above the estate, the Mediterranean stars shone brilliantly against the velvet night sky, watching over a restored kingdom, a protected family, and a mafia king who had risen from the ashes of poison and betrayal to claim his true, eternal throne.
