Chapter 6 - THE ULTIMATE PLOT TWIST

Facebook Hook Title: 🤯 "THE ULTIMATE REVENGE: The Twins Weren't My Husband's, But They Weren't the Trainer's Either!"Six months had passed.

The dust had finally settled. Julian had fled the city, working a low-paying desk job in a small town in Indiana, completely erased from the high-society circles he once dominated. Eleanor was living in a modest assisted-living facility, paid for by a small trust I had graciously set up—mostly to ensure she could never complain about me to the press.

Chloe had disappeared into the system, fighting a losing battle to regain custody of her children.

I sat in the quiet of my penthouse, sipping a glass of red wine. On the table in front of me was a final, sealed envelope from the fertility clinic in Denmark.

My phone buzzed. It was a video call from Arthur, my lawyer.

"Is the adoption finalized?" I asked.

"Yes, Clara," Arthur smiled. "The twins have been legally adopted by a wonderful, wealthy couple in Boston. They will grow up with every advantage, completely separated from the toxicity of the Montgomery and Vance names."

"Good," I breathed. "They deserve a fresh start."

"There's just one thing, Clara," Arthur hesitated, his voice turning serious. "The final genetic sequencing from the clinic... the one you ordered to verify the donor's background before the adoption was cleared. It came back."

I set my wine glass down. "And?"

"Marcus Vance wasn't the donor," Arthur said, his voice barely a whisper. "He was a match for Chloe's profile because they shared a distant maternal link—they were distant cousins, which is why she targeted him. But he wasn't the biological father of those twins."

I frowned. "Then who was?"

"The donor, K7... he wasn't anonymous to the clinic's system. When we bypassed the security firewalls of the parent company you bought, we found the original identity of the donor who deposited that sample ten years ago."

Arthur paused, taking a deep breath.

"The donor was your father, Clara. Charles Vance."

The glass of wine slipped from my hand, shattering against the white oak floor. The dark red liquid pooled around my feet, looking like blood in the dim light of the penthouse.

"My... my father?" I whispered.

"Your father made a secret deposit at that clinic when he was undergoing experimental treatments in Europe a decade ago," Arthur explained. "Chloe must have found his medical records when she was staying at your family’s estate years ago. She didn't use Marcus’s DNA because she loved him. She used your father’s stored sample to ensure the babies would have a direct genetic claim to your family’s multi-million dollar trust."

She hadn't tried to steal my husband.

She had tried to create my siblings.

She wanted to bypass the divorce entirely and force her way into my family's massive inheritance by producing the only living male heirs to the Vance dynasty.

I looked down at the red wine stain on the floor.

Julian had thought he was winning. Chloe had thought she was playing the long game. But in the end, they were all just pieces on a chessboard I had owned from the very beginning.

I closed my eyes and let out a long, slow breath.

"Arthur," I said, my voice steadying, turning ice-cold once again.

"Yes, Clara?"

"Double the trust fund for those twins. They are, after all, family."
