Chapter 8 - JUSTICE, LOVE, AND A NEW BEGINNINGThe wedding was nothing like the lavish, superficial gatherings that Beatriz Alcázar used to host in San Pedro Garza García.

There were no snobby business tycoons looking down their noses at the guests, no fake smiles, and no whispered gossip.
Held in the sun-drenched gardens of Adrián’s sprawling estate overlooking the mountains, it was an intimate, joyful celebration filled with laughter, music, and genuine love.
Renata, Emilia, and Lucía served as the most enthusiastic flower girls in history, scattering bright pink petals down the aisle while wearing matching ivory dresses that made them look like little princesses.
As Mariana walked down the aisle on the arm of her late husband's brother—who had flown in from Mexico City to support her—she looked stunning in a flowing, elegant lace gown that radiated timeless grace.
Waiting at the altar stood Adrián, his eyes shining with unmasked emotion as he watched the woman who had completely transformed his quiet, empty life walk toward him.
When Mariana reached the altar, Adrián took her hands in his. They were warm, steady, and strong.
"I take you, Mariana," Adrián said, his voice ringing clear and true across the sunlit garden, "to walk beside me, to fight every battle with me, and to love you and your brilliant daughters for the rest of my days."
"And I take you, Adrián," Mariana replied, her voice steady and filled with profound peace, "to share every sunrise, to build an empire of kindness, and to love you forever."
Off to the side of the venue, seated quietly in the back row under the watchful supervision of two private security guards, sat Beatriz Alcázar.
Released temporarily on strict bail conditions awaiting her upcoming federal trial, her once-immaculate Chanel suit was now wrinkled and drab. Her hair was unstyled, her face pale, and her legendary arrogance had been completely beaten out of her by months of cold prison cells and impending prison sentences.
She watched in bitter, helpless silence as the crowd erupted into thunderous applause, cheering wildly as Adrián swept Mariana into a passionate, cinematic kiss while the three little girls jumped up and down in celebration, showering them in confetti.
Beatriz tried to scowl, tried to mutter something venomous under her breath about how "it won't last," but the words caught in her throat.
She had tried to destroy three little girls because of their gender. She had tried to crush an innocent mother for free labor and greed.

And in the end, her cruelty hadn't destroyed them at all.
It had only cleared the path for a queen to rise, for a family to heal, and for love to conquer the darkest of storms.
