Chapter 6 - The Boardroom Ambush

At 2:00 PM, the Carter Enterprises Board of Directors held an emergency meeting summoned by Margaret Carter to officially strip Nathan of his CEO title due to the "public scandal."

Margaret sat at the head of the long mahogany table, wearing a smirk of triumph. "Members of the board, my son has let his emotions blind his judgment. He has damaged our brand, and I move to immediately revoke his executive authority."

"Motion denied," a cold voice echoed from the back of the room.

The heavy double doors swung open. Nathan walked in, dressed in a sharp black suit. Beside him walked Emily, radiating power and grace, dressed in a striking white power suit. Behind them walked two federal agents from the Department of Justice.

Margaret’s smirk vanished. "Nathan! What is the meaning of this insolence? And why is this maid in my boardroom?"

"She isn't a maid, Margaret," Nathan said, his voice echoing across the room like thunder. "She is the majority shareholder of Carter Enterprises."

The board members gasped.

Nathan tossed a massive binder onto the table. "Ten years ago, Margaret Carter orchestrated an arson attack on the home of David Vance in West Virginia, resulting in the death of Sarah Vance. She stole Mr. Vance's patent for the clean-energy cell, which generated 60% of this corporation’s revenue over the past decade."

"This is outrageous slander!" Margaret shrieked, standing up. "You have no proof!"

"We have the forensic bank trails, Margaret," one of the federal agents stepped forward, pulling out an arrest warrant. "We also have the confession of the arsonist you paid through a Swiss bank account. He turned state's evidence three hours ago."

Margaret’s face turned deathly pale. She stumbled back against her chair, her lungs gasping for air as the corporate titan’s facade shattered into pieces.

"Under corporate law," Nathan continued calmly, "all profits generated from stolen intellectual property belong to the rightful heir of David Vance. Emily Vance-Carter owns 75% of this company's total equity. You own nothing."
