Chapter 8 - A Twist in the Nursery: The Real Father RevealedAs the commotion subsided and the security guards escorted the crying Olivia and the stroller toward the exit to deal with social services and child support verification, Marcus and I walked toward the private elevator bank.

"Well," Marcus chuckled, adjusting his tie as the elevator doors closed around us, isolating us from the hospital noise. "That went remarkably well. Couldn't have scripted a better finale myself."
"It's not over yet, Uncle Marcus," I said, pulling my tablet from my coat pocket.
Marcus raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? Nathan is facing federal prison, his assets are frozen, and his fake family is completely dismantled. What more could possibly happen?"
I tapped the screen of my tablet, bringing up a secure medical database file that I had received late last night from a colleague in genetic research.
"You remember when you ran the paternity test on little Leo?" I asked quietly.
"Yes. The match came back negative for Nathan. It belonged to an unknown profile in the national DNA database."
"It wasn't unknown to me," I replied, turning the screen toward him.
Marcus looked down at the genetic breakdown, his eyes widening in sudden, profound shock as he read the name attached to the biological father profile.

"Good lord," Marcus breathed. "Are you telling me..."
"Yes," I nodded, locking my tablet screen. "Olivia didn't just sleep with random men behind Nathan's back while we were married. She slept with the one person Nathan trusted more than anyone else in the world—the person who helped him orchestrate the initial startup fraud against our family."
