CHAPTER 1 – "The Maid Who Thought Her Life Was Over"
The priceless antique vase exploded across the marble floor.
Its shattered pieces echoed through the palace like a gunshot.
Every servant stopped breathing.
Two armed guards rushed into the grand hall.
Standing in the middle of the glittering lobby was Emily Carter, a timid 19-year-old maid who had been working at the royal estate for less than a month. Her hands trembled uncontrollably as she stared at the broken porcelain.
She knew exactly what it was.
The legendary blue-and-gold vase wasn't just decoration.
It had belonged to the Sheikh's great-grandmother and had survived wars, revolutions, and over a century of history. Rumor claimed wealthy collectors had once offered over two million dollars for it.
Now...
It was dust beneath her shoes.
"I'm... I'm so sorry..." Emily whispered, tears streaming down her face.
One of the guards grabbed her arm.
"You have no idea what you've done."
Another servant quietly muttered,
"She's finished."
Word spread through the palace within minutes.
The new maid had destroyed the royal family's most treasured heirloom.
Some servants secretly filmed the scene.
Others shook their heads with pity.
Nobody expected Emily to leave the palace employed...
—or even free.
Then the massive wooden doors slowly opened.
Silence swallowed the room.
Sheikh Zayed Al Rashid entered without saying a word.
Tall.
Calm.
Unreadable.
His footsteps echoed across the polished marble.
Every employee immediately lowered their heads.
Emily collapsed onto her knees.
"I'll work my whole life to repay it," she sobbed.
"I never meant—"
The Sheikh didn't answer.
Instead...
He slowly looked at every shattered piece on the floor.
Then...
He looked directly into Emily's terrified eyes.
The room felt frozen.
Finally, he spoke.
"Take everyone out except her."
Nobody dared question him.
Within seconds, the grand hall was empty except for Emily, the Sheikh...
...and the broken vase.
Emily was convinced this was the end.
