CHAPTER 7 – “The DNA Results Were Never Meant to Be Seen”

Three days after escaping the palace, Emily was officially the most wanted woman in the kingdom.
Every news channel repeated the same headline.
"FAKE HEIRESS STEALS ROYAL SECRETS—CAPTURE HER IMMEDIATELY."
Her face appeared on airport screens.
Train stations.
Highways.
Even grocery stores.
To the entire country...
She was a criminal.
Only a handful of people knew the truth.
Hidden inside an abandoned mountain monastery, Emily sat beside Sheikh Zayed, who was slowly recovering from the gunshot wound.
A trusted royal physician entered carrying a sealed envelope.
"My Lord..."
"The laboratory completed the DNA analysis."
No one spoke.
The doctor placed the envelope on the wooden table.
"This test compares Emily's DNA with the late King's preserved medical records."
Emily's hands trembled.
"If I'm wrong..."
"I'll disappear forever."
The Sheikh nodded silently.
He opened the envelope.
His eyes scanned the report.
Then...
His face turned completely white.
Emily's heart nearly stopped.
"What does it say?"
He couldn't answer.
Instead, he slowly handed her the report.
Across the bottom of the page, in bold letters, were the words:
Probability of biological relationship: 99.9998%.
Emily burst into tears.
For twenty years she had searched for where she belonged.
Now science had confirmed what her heart could barely believe.
She truly was the missing royal granddaughter.
But before anyone could celebrate...
The physician quietly placed another envelope on the table.
"This one arrived anonymously."
"There was no sender."
Inside was a single flash drive.
The Sheikh connected it to his laptop.
A hidden security recording filled the screen.
The date stamp read:
Twenty Years Ago.
The footage showed the palace nursery.
A newborn baby sleeping peacefully.
Then the door slowly opened.
King Hassan walked inside.
He looked around to make sure no one was watching.
Emily stared at the screen in horror.
The King gently lifted the baby into his arms...
kissed her forehead...
and whispered,
"Forgive me, little one."
A second man entered wearing a black military uniform.
The King handed the baby to him.
Then he said the words that froze everyone in the room.
"Take her away. As long as she lives... my son can never become King."
The video ended.
Silence.
No one moved.
The Sheikh clenched his fists so tightly that blood dripped from his palms.
"My own father..."
"He destroyed an innocent child's life..."
"...to steal the throne."
Just then, the monastery doors burst open.
A royal messenger stumbled inside, exhausted and covered in dust.
"My Lord!"
"The King is dead!"
Everyone froze.
"What?"
The messenger swallowed hard.
"He collapsed less than an hour ago..."
"...right after someone delivered a copy of that exact video to the Royal Council."
Emily looked at the frozen image on the laptop.
The truth had finally escaped the palace.
But as the messenger caught his breath, he whispered one final sentence.
"There is one more problem..."
"The King's last will has just been opened..."
May you like
"...and according to it, Emily inherits nothing."
