Jonathan finally revealed the truth.
Thirty years earlier...
Before meeting Sophia's mother...
He had married another woman.
Her name was Eleanor Hayes.
Together they had a son.
Adrian.
But Eleanor became involved with Victor Kane's criminal organization.
When Jonathan discovered the truth, he divorced her and won custody of Adrian.
Or so he believed.
One stormy night...
Adrian disappeared.
The police concluded he had drowned after a car accident.
No body was ever found.
Jonathan spent years searching.
Eventually...
he accepted the impossible.
Now Adrian stood before him.
Alive.
But not unchanged.
"I didn't drown," Adrian said coldly.
"My mother sold me."
Victor Kane raised me."
The room froze.
"I grew up believing you abandoned me."
Jonathan's eyes filled with tears.
"I searched for you every day."
"You never searched hard enough."
Adrian slammed a folder onto the table.
Inside were hundreds of photographs.
Every one showed him watching the Whitmore family from a distance over the years.
Sophia's wedding.
Jonathan's hospital visits.
Ethan's business meetings.
Even Sophia volunteering at an orphanage.
"I've been watching all of you for years."
Sophia felt a chill run through her body.
