CHAPTER 1 — The Honeymoon That Became a Nightmare

Everyone watching the luxury mountain train believed Ethan and Sophie were the perfect newlyweds.
They had been married for only three days.
The breathtaking railway carved through snow-covered mountains, with endless valleys stretching beneath the tracks. Couples toasted champagne while the sunset painted the sky gold.
But Sophie couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.
Ever since they boarded, Ethan had been... different.
He smiled for every photograph.
He kissed her forehead whenever someone looked.
Yet every time they were alone, his eyes turned cold.
As the train entered the highest mountain pass, Ethan gently took Sophie's hand.
"I have a surprise for you," he whispered.
He led her toward the rear observation platform, where the wind roared through the open doorway. Below them was a terrifying drop into the frozen canyon.
"What surprise?" Sophie laughed nervously.
Instead of answering, Ethan wrapped his arm around her waist.
For one brief second, she thought he wanted a romantic kiss.
Then she felt it.
His hand wasn't pulling her closer.
It was pushing.
Her heartbeat exploded.
"Ethan... what are you doing?"
He leaned toward her ear and whispered words that froze her blood.
"I'm making sure no one ever takes my fortune."
Sophie stared at him in horror.
"My... what?"
"You inherited everything from your grandfather yesterday," Ethan said with a chilling smile.
"And thanks to our marriage, I'll inherit it all after your tragic accident."
The train thundered through the mountains.
No one inside could hear her scream.
Ethan shoved her toward the edge.
Sophie grabbed the metal railing with both hands as her feet slipped into empty air.
The freezing wind ripped through her dress while thousands of feet of darkness waited below.
"Ethan... please..."
He looked into her eyes without a trace of mercy.
May you like
"Goodbye, sweetheart."
Then he stomped on her fingers.
