Chapter 3 – The Woman Who Stole A Billionaire’s Baby

The woman standing at the entrance was Victoria Ashford.
Richard’s younger sister.
Elegant. Powerful. Untouchable.
For twenty-two years, she had been the face of his charity foundation. She smiled at cameras, donated to hospitals, and spoke about helping abandoned children.
But the moment Emily saw her...
A cold fear moved through her body.
She had heard that voice before.
Not in person.
In nightmares.
Victoria walked toward them slowly, her heels clicking against the marble floor.
"Richard," she said sharply, "this girl is using you. Poor girls hear stories about missing heirs all the time."
Emily stepped back.
"I never asked for anything."
Victoria smiled.
"No. But people like you always want something."
Richard’s face darkened.
"Enough."
Victoria froze.
He had never spoken to her like that before.
Then Richard placed the old photograph beside Emily’s silver bracelet.
The room gasped.
The marks matched.
The bracelet matched.
The birthday matched.
But Victoria laughed coldly.
"That proves nothing."
Then Emily whispered,
"There was a woman... when I was little. She visited my foster home once. She told the woman raising me that if I ever remembered the hospital, I would disappear again."
Victoria’s smile vanished.
Richard turned slowly.
"Again?"
Emily’s voice trembled.
May you like
"She had your voice."
For the first time, Victoria looked afraid.
