Chapter 10 - Dawn of a New EmpireThree months later.

The rain that had shrouded the city during the dark days of Julian's betrayal was gone, replaced by brilliant morning sunlight streaming over the glass skyline.

At the headquarters of Vance Global Logistics—now renamed Aegis International—a massive press conference was underway. Hundreds of reporters, photojournalists, and corporate leaders filled the grand hall, waiting for the woman who had captivated the world’s attention.

Eleanor stepped up to the podium. Flanking her on either side were Sophia Reyes, now head of Global Corporate Security, and Marcus, director of Tactical Operations.

The flashes of cameras flared like a thousand stars. Eleanor looked out over the crowd with supreme confidence, her eyes burning with clarity and purpose.

"For years, I lived in the shadows," Eleanor spoke into the microphones, her voice resonating across the room and through live broadcasts nationwide. "I believed that true strength meant hiding who you are, keeping your power concealed to protect those you love. But betrayal taught me a valuable lesson: power isn't meant to be hidden. It's meant to be used to protect the innocent and crush those who prey on the weak."

She paused, looking directly into the primary camera lens—knowing that in a prison recreation room miles away, Julian was forced to watch her victory on a wall-mounted screen.

"Today, Aegis International launches a five-billion-dollar global initiative to track, expose, and dismantle corporate syndicates and domestic abusers across the globe," Eleanor declared. "To those who operate in the dark, thinking you can manipulate, exploit, or destroy others for greed... know this: Ghost is watching."

The room erupted into thunderous applause.

Later that evening, on the high balcony of her penthouse overlooking the ocean, Eleanor raised a glass of wine to the horizon. Sophia walked out to join her, leaning against the marble railing.

"So, Commander," Sophia smiled, clinking her glass against Eleanor’s. "What’s the next move? Retirement?"

Eleanor chuckled, a low, confident sound, as the cool evening breeze swept her dark hair back.

"Retirement was a nice dream, Sophia," Eleanor said, looking out at the endless sky where the stars were just beginning to shine. "But the real hunt has just begun."
