Chapter 6 - The Unveiling (The Ending)

Six months later.
The garden of the Hayes mansion was no longer a place of silence. There was music—upbeat, loud, and messy.
Alexander was on the grass. He was on his knees, sweat dripping down his face, holding a set of parallel bars he had custom-built.
"Come on, Ethan! You can do it!"
Ethan, now six, was standing. No crutches. His legs were shaking, his face bright red with effort, but he was standing. He took one step. Then another.
Sophia stood to the side, cheering, her arm around her sister who was now recovering well.
Alexander’s phone buzzed in his pocket. It was his assistant. "Sir, the board meeting is in an hour. We need you to sign the merger documents."
Alexander looked at his son—the boy who was taking his first unassisted steps toward him—and then he looked at the phone.
He didn't just ignore it. He turned the phone off and tossed it into the grass.
"I'm retired," he whispered to the wind.
Ethan reached him, collapsing into his arms, laughing. Alexander lifted his son, feeling the weight of him, feeling the warmth of life. He looked over at Sophia and smiled—a real, genuine smile.
The "Cold Billionaire" was gone. In his place was a man who had finally realized that the greatest empire isn't built in towers of glass, but in the small, messy, beautiful moments of being present.
He had everything money could buy, but he finally had the one thing money couldn't: a son who didn't need a hero, just a dad.
