Chapter 6 - THE FINAL TWIST (THE ALTAR OF REBORN)

Hook: The ultimate mastermind wasn't the bride, nor the rival—it was the one who held the glass.
Victoria collapsed against the altar, clutching her bleeding shoulder, her eyes wide with shock and fury as Julian scrambled up and secured her weapon. Within moments, Seraphina’s team flooded the room, dragging a bruised and bound Damien into the hall. The Vance conspiracy was entirely neutralized.
"It's over, Victoria," Julian said, his voice cold, devoid of any emotion for the woman he once loved. "You and your brother are going to spend the rest of your lives in a federal penitentiary."
Victoria spat blood onto the floor, laughing hysterically despite her pain. "You think you won, Julian? You stupid, arrogant fool. Look at your savior. Look at the little maid!"
Julian turned his head slowly toward Elena, who was still holding the gun, her expression shifting from terror to something remarkably calm. The trembling in her hands suddenly vanished. She lowered the weapon, but her eyes locked onto Julian with a chilling intensity.
Seraphina’s phone suddenly buzzed violently. She looked down at the screen, her face turning pale. "Julian... wait. My cyber team just traced the original source of the anonymous tip that leaked Victoria's poison plot to the media. It didn't come from inside the house."
"What are you talking about?" Julian asked, a cold knot tightening in his chest.
"The leak came from an untraceable server three months before the wedding," Seraphina whispered, looking at Elena. "Someone engineered this entire exposure. Someone wanted Victoria to attempt the murder, and wanted it caught on camera in front of the whole world."
Elena smiled. It wasn't the timid smile of a maid; it was a cold, brilliant smile of a master puppeteer.
"Very good, Seraphina," Elena said, her voice dropping its soft, stuttering tone, replaced by an elegant, commanding cadence. "I always knew you were the sharpest of Julian's rivals."
Julian stepped back, utterly bewildered. "Elena... what is this?"
"My real name isn't Elena, Julian," she said softly, pulling a small electronic device from her pocket and pressing a button. On the main server screen, a new set of documents appeared—documents showing that 'Elena' was the sole beneficiary of a massive, hidden trust fund established by Julian’s late father, Arthur Sterling Sr.
"Your father had a secret family, Julian," Elena explained, her voice dripping with historical malice. "I am your half-sister. When your father died, he left everything to you, leaving my mother and me with nothing but a monthly allowance and instructions to stay hidden. I spent ten years planning my return."
Julian’s mind reeled. "You... you set this all up?"
"I discovered Victoria’s plan to poison you six months ago," Elena said, walking casually through the wreckage of the ballroom. "I could have stopped her then. But if I did, you would still be the billionaire CEO, and she would just be an ex-fiancee. I needed her to try to kill you publicly. I needed Arthur to betray you. I needed your stock to plummet to absolute zero so my shell corporations could buy up the controlling shares for pennies on the dollar."
She looked around the ruined ballroom. "And look around. It worked perfectly. As of five minutes ago, my corporate entity owns fifty-one percent of Sterling Enterprises. You are no longer the king, Julian. You are just an employee in my house."
Julian stood frozen, realizing that every single move—from the maid smashing the glass, to the video leak, to the corporate downfall—had been perfectly orchestrated by the girl he thought he was protecting.
"You're insane," Julian whispered.

"No, Julian," Elena said, turning her back to him as the sirens of the arriving police finally woked up the night. "I'm just a Sterling. And a Sterling always takes what belongs to them. Enjoy your retirement, brother."
Elena walked out into the rain, leaving Julian, Victoria, and the remnants of an empire shattered on the marble floor. The Black Widow had been crushed, but a far more dangerous predator had just taken the throne.
