CHAPTER 4 – The Bride Who Refused to Die

Victor lunged forward, but Daniel slammed him to the ground.
Guests screamed as police rushed in.
Victor’s mother tried to run, but Emily stepped in front of her, still wearing her torn, smoke-stained wedding dress.
"Tell me the truth," Emily said. "Was my father framed?"
The old woman laughed coldly.
"Your father found out too much. Just like you did."
Emily’s knees nearly gave out.
Daniel stood beside her, silent but shaken. For twenty-four years, he had hated the wrong family.
Then police opened the last document from the steel box.
It wasn’t just evidence.
It was Emily’s father’s final letter.
"If my daughter ever finds this, tell her I didn’t run from the fire. I ran back in to save Daniel."
Daniel’s eyes filled with tears.
The man he had blamed his whole life…
was the reason he was alive.
And as Victor was dragged away, Emily looked at the burning mansion and whispered,
"My wedding ended tonight..."

Then she turned to Daniel.
"But the truth just began."
