Chapter 3 - THE PRICE OF AMBITION

Julian finally broke his silence. He explained that years ago, he had been so focused on acquiring a rival company that he missed his own daughter's birthday party. The plane carrying his wife and child had crashed in a storm he had been too busy to track.
"I made my fortune on the day they died," he whispered. "Every dollar I have is blood money. That nursery is how I punish myself."
Jenna felt the weight of his grief. It wasn't just a house; it was a tomb. She realized that she and Daisy weren't just guests; they were a lifeline. She began to clean the rooms, not just of dust, but of the heavy energy of regret. She opened the curtains that had been closed for years.
However, the change in Julian did not go unnoticed. His business partners were concerned. They saw the "new" Julian—kinder, distracted, less ruthless—as a liability. They began to plot a coup, intending to oust him from the company he had built with his grief.
