Chapter 5 - THE SHOWDOWN

The boardroom meeting was the climax. Julian walked in, looking defeated, prepared to sign over his shares. Eleanor sat at the head of the table, a smug smile on her face.

"You're finished, Julian," she whispered.

Suddenly, the doors swung open. Jenna walked in, followed by a lawyer. She didn't look like a cleaner anymore. She carried a tablet displaying the forensic accounting reports she had spent sleepless nights decrypting with the help of a friend from her past—a former tech expert who had also been down on his luck.

"Actually," Jenna said, her voice steady and echoing through the hushed room, "the fraud isn't coming from Julian’s office. It's coming from Eleanor’s."

The room erupted. Evidence was laid out—bank transfers, shell companies, and fake signatures. The board members stared, stunned. Julian looked at Jenna, not with pity, but with profound awe.

Eleanor turned white, her composure shattering. "You stupid maid! You think you’ve won?"

"I’m not a maid," Jenna said. "I’m the person who saw the truth when everyone else was too busy looking at the money."
