CHAPTER 7 – The One Who Escaped Came Back

The sealed envelope was opened under FBI supervision.

Inside was only one photograph.

A little boy.

Around six years old.

Standing beside the same abandoned cabin.

On the back, someone had written in faded ink:

"Subject Seven. Never Found."

Detective Ryan frowned.

"Who is Subject Seven?"

Jack's face slowly drained of color.

"He wasn't a victim..."

"He was born inside the trafficking network."

The room fell silent.

Years ago, investigators believed every kidnapped child had been rescued.

They were wrong.

One child had disappeared before the raid.

Raised by the criminals.

Trained to become one of them.

No fingerprints.

No official identity.

No records.

Only a ghost.

The FBI reopened every cold case connected to the organization.

What they discovered was terrifying.

Someone had been secretly buying abandoned properties near schools across three different states.

Every purchase was made through fake companies.

But every document was signed with the same symbol.

A wolf.

The exact same symbol engraved on Noah's silver pendant.

Emily felt her heart stop.

"How is that possible?"

Detective Ryan answered quietly.

"Because someone copied your husband's pendant."

"It wasn't just a family keepsake."

"It was their identification mark."

That night...

Emily tucked Noah into bed.

For the first time in weeks, the house was peaceful.

Then...

The security cameras suddenly went black.

Every screen.

At the exact same second.

The backup generator failed.

Outside...

A single flashlight appeared beyond the trees.

Then another.

Then another.

Someone was silently surrounding the house.

May you like

Jack whispered only four words.

"They've finally found Noah."
