Vincent’s smile vanished. "What did you do?"
"This safehouse isn't just a shelter," Luca growled. "It’s a trap."
Before Vincent could react, the entire perimeter of the cabin—underground C4 charges Luca had installed years ago—detonated. The explosion collapsed the entire eastern wing, crushing Vincent's guards under tons of burning timber.
Vincent was thrown across the room, his legs pinned beneath a falling support beam. He screamed in agony as the fire began to consume the house.
Luca, protected by the reinforced steel pillar he had dived behind, stood up. He walked over to the trapped Moretti Don, his face smeared with ash and blood. He picked up Vincent's discarded pistol.
"This is for making my daughter cry," Luca said coldly.
BANG.
Luca didn't look back as he walked into the burning cellar. He punched the biometric code into the panic room door. It hissed open. Elena and Nora were huddled inside, safe and unharmed by the blast.
When Nora saw Luca, she let out a joyful shriek and ran into his arms. Luca collapsed to the floor, holding his daughter tightly, his blood staining her small dress, but he didn't care. They were alive.
One Year Later...The Ferraro mansion had been completely rebuilt, bigger and grander than before, but the atmosphere inside had completely changed. The cold, sterile fortress was now filled with the sound of laughter.
In the grand courtyard, a massive playground had been installed. Nora, now four years old and wearing a beautiful pink dress, was running around, chasing a golden retriever puppy.
Elena stood on the terrace, healthy, glowing, and beautiful, a diamond ring sparkling on her finger. Luca walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, burying his face in her neck.
"What are you thinking about?" Elena asked, smiling as she leaned into his touch.
"About how a ruined shirt saved my life," Luca murmured, watching their daughter play.
Suddenly, Marco walked onto the terrace, holding a beautifully wrapped, heavy package. "Don Luca, a delivery arrived from the Italian tailors. The custom shirts you ordered."
Luca opened the box. Inside was a collection of finest silk shirts. But right at the top was a tiny, miniature version of his white button-down shirt—perfectly sized for a four-year-old girl, with the words “Daddy’s Little Boss” embroidered in gold thread on the collar.
Nora ran up the stairs, panting, looking at the box. She grabbed the tiny shirt and held it up with both hands, her eyes sparkling.

"Look, Daddy! I don't have to wash it anymore!" she cheered.
Luca picked his daughter up, swinging her around as Elena laughed, their hearts finally whole. The mafia boss had come home early to a broken world, but in the end, the little girl with the red knuckles had built him a kingdom worth living for.
