Chapter 5 - The Digital Ghost in the NurseryAs the heavy door clicked shut behind Arthur, Maya collapsed back into her chair, burying her face in her hands as silent, shaking sobs racked her body. Ryan stood beside her, his hand resting gently on her trembling shoulder.

"She’s going to destroy us, Ryan," Maya choked out between breaths. "We don't have the kind of money or power to fight a war against the entire Whitmore empire."

"We don't need their money," Ryan said, his voice hard as iron. "We need the truth. And my mother made one fatal, arrogant mistake tonight."

Maya looked up, her tear-stained eyes searching his face. "What mistake?"

"She’s arrogant," Ryan said, walking over to the window and looking out into the dark night sky. "Evelyn loves control so much that she likes to watch her plans unfold in real-time. She didn't just install a secret camera in the nursery to spy on you... she installed a live feed that routes directly to her private server at the corporate headquarters."

Maya’s breath hitched. "A live feed?"

"Yes," Ryan said, pulling out his own phone and rapidly typing out a series of commands. "When the police searched the nursery drawer, they found the physical documents. But they didn't look at the router settings behind the baseboard. My mother’s tech guy set up an encrypted cloud link so she could monitor the room from her phone during board meetings."

Ryan tapped a final button on his phone screen. Instantly, a secure local network interface popped up, displaying a list of active IP connections and encrypted video streams.

"If we can hack into her private corporate server before her legal team wipes the remote drives," Ryan said, his fingers flying across the glass screen, "we won't just have proof of her framing you... we’ll have video footage of her hiding Oliver's inhaler with her own two hands."

Maya stood up, walking over to his side, her fear momentarily replaced by a sharp, collective spark of hope. "Can you do it?"

"Watch me," Ryan muttered.
