Chapter 5 - The Eviction NoticeUp in the penthouse, the atmosphere was suffocating. Julian was slumped in his executive leather chair, staring blankly at his tablet, which now displayed a single, looping screen: Unauthorized Access. Terminal Decommissioned.

Chloe was frantic, frantically packing her designer bags, tossing clothes and jewelry into her Louis Vuitton luggage. "Julian, we need to leave! Right now! Call a lawyer, call your friends—this is insane!"

The penthouse double doors swung open once more.

Elena walked in, her footsteps echoing sharply against the hardwood floor. Arthur stood by the window, watching impassively.

Julian looked up, his eyes bloodshot, a mixture of utter disbelief and burning rage twisting his features. "Elena..." he breathed, his voice trembling. "What is the meaning of this childish stunt? You called your father? You staged a corporate coup over a petty domestic dispute?!"

Elena stopped a few feet away from him. Her gaze was cool, detached, and utterly piercing.

"A domestic dispute, Julian?" Elena asked softly, her voice carrying a quiet power that made him flinch. "For nine years, I sat across from you while you took credit for every architectural design, every financial strategy, and every international expansion my family’s trust funded. I let you play the king because I foolishly believed marriage meant partnership."

She stepped closer, her eyes narrowing. "But last night, when you had me thrown into the rain like garbage—when you handed my grandmother's pendant to your mistress and laughed in my face—you crossed the one line that could never be uncrossed."

Chloe zipped her bag shut and marched toward the door, glaring daggers at Elena. "You psychotic bitch! You think you can just ruin us? Julian is a titan in this industry—"

"Chloe," Elena interrupted without even glancing at her. "You’re wearing my cashmere coat."

Chloe flushed furiously. "Finders keepers, you—"

"Actually," Elena interrupted coldly, raising a hand. Two security guards stepped forward, blocking Chloe’s path. "That coat was imported exclusively from a private mill in Milan, registered under Sterling Assets. So is the dress you're wearing, the shoes on your feet, and the diamond ring on your left hand."

Elena turned to the guards. "Strip her."

"What?!" Chloe shrieked, backing away in horror. "You can't do that! That's assault!"

"It's asset recovery," Elena replied evenly. "Strip every single item purchased with corporate funds off her person before you escort her out of the building. And make sure she leaves barefoot. The lobby floor is marble; she'll appreciate the cold."

"Julian! Do something!" Chloe screamed as the female security operatives stepped forward, their expressions stone-cold.

Julian leaped out of his chair, fists clenched, his face contorted in rage. "Elena, enough! This has gone far enough! We are husband and wife! We can settle this in court—"

"There is no court to settle in, Julian," Elena said, her voice cutting through his fury like a razor blade. "Because as of 6:15 AM, our divorce petition has been granted under expedited emergency family trust provisions for corporate espionage and breach of fidelity. And your personal assets?"

She tilted her head, signaling her legal counsel.

The attorney stepped forward, handing Julian a thick document stamped with a federal seal.

"All personal bank accounts, offshore holdings, luxury vehicles, and real estate properties registered under your name have been attached as collateral for nine years of fraudulent misrepresentation of corporate ownership," the attorney read aloud. "You are legally bankrupt, Julian. Effective immediately."
