Chapter 6 - The Public ExecutionBy 9:00 AM, the financial news networks had caught wind of the seismic shift.

BREAKING NEWS: VANCE INTERNATIONAL GRAND UNDERGOES SUDDEN RESTRUCTURING; FOUNDER JULIAN VANCE OUSTED AMID FRAUD ALLEGATIONS.

Screens across Times Square, London, and Tokyo flashed the breaking headline. Investors who had poured millions into Julian's name stared in stunned disbelief as stock prices in Vance Holdings plummeted to zero, only to be instantly absorbed by its parent entity: Montague-Sterling Global.

Julian stumbled out of the grand entrance of the resort, flanked by security guards who unceremoniously dropped his single cardboard box of personal belongings onto the wet pavement.

Behind him, Chloe—wearing only a hotel bathrobe and shivering in the morning breeze—was sobbing hysterically as she was escorted off the property by local police for questioning regarding corporate property theft.

A crowd of reporters and paparazzi had already gathered, flashes blinding Julian from every direction.

"Mr. Vance! Mr. Vance! Is it true you never actually owned the resort?" "Mr. Vance, comment on the allegations of fraud!" "Who is Sterling Global Trust?!"

Julian shielded his eyes, stumbling over his own feet as he tried to dodge the cameras. His thousand-dollar suit felt heavy and suffocating; his reputation, built on a decade of lies and stolen glory, had evaporated into thin air before breakfast.

From the safety of the executive penthouse window on the top floor, Elena stood holding a cup of freshly brewed black coffee, watching the spectacle unfold below.

Her father walked up beside her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"Satisfied?" Arthur asked quietly.

Elena took a slow sip of her coffee, her gaze fixed on the man who had tried to erase her, now reduced to a pathetic figure scrambling away from the flashing cameras.

"No, Dad," Elena replied softly, a faint, confident smile touching her lips. "This is just the opening act."
