Chapter 5 - THE LABYRINTH BELOW"Secure the perimeter!" I yelled over the radio as I burst out of the command unit. "Nobody goes in or out of that house!"

I grabbed Jenkins and Ramirez. "We're going back down to that basement. Mark wasn't locked in a storm cellar. That house has a sub-level."

We smashed through the heavy basement door once more, moving past the storage shelves until we found a hidden keypad concealed behind a fuse box. Mark, following closely under armed guard, entered a six-digit code.

The concrete wall groaned and slid open, revealing an underground laboratory illuminated by flickering emergency strobes.

Rows of glass incubation tanks lined the subterranean bunker. Most were shattered, liquid dripping onto the steel floor. But inside three intact tanks were fully formed human bodies suspended in clear gel.

One was Sarah Miller. One was Mark Miller. And the third was empty.

"They were replicating us," Mark whispered, falling to his knees in horror. "The breach didn't happen three weeks ago... it happened three months ago. The people living upstairs... they weren't us."

"If those things upstairs were copies," Jenkins gasped, pointing his flashlight at the empty tank, "then where is the real Lily?"
