Chapter 4 - The Arrest of the TyrantsThe flashing red and blue lights of three police cruisers cast erratic, violent shadows across the high-ceilinged foyer of the Sterling estate.

Two uniformed officers stood over Mark, who was still slumped against the marble column, staring vacantly at his own polished Italian leather shoes. Beside him, Claudia was screaming obscenities at a female sergeant, her face distorted with ugly, unbridled rage.

"Do you know who my father is?!" Claudia shrieked, struggling against the cold steel of the handcuffs clicking around her wrists. "My father is Senator Vance's primary donor! You can't touch me! This is illegal search and seizure!"

"Ma'am, step back," the sergeant said calmly, reading her rights with bored efficiency. "You are being placed under arrest on multiple counts of felony child endangerment, severe neglect, and domestic abuse, pursuant to video evidence provided by Whitaker Holdings."

Mark looked up slowly as Detective Miller approached him, holding a pair of heavy cuffs.

"Mark Sterling?" the detective asked.

Mark didn't resist. He didn't even speak. He simply extended his wrists, the humiliation burning hotter than any physical blow could ever manage. As the metal clamped shut around his bones, he realized the terrifying truth: Richard hadn't just destroyed their lifestyle; he had dismantled their entire existence with surgical, emotionless precision.

As they were led out through the double doors into the freezing courtyard where Ethan had spent nine agonizing hours, a phalanx of flashbulbs blinded them. Reporters, tipped off by an anonymous source within Whitaker Holdings—likely Vance himself—had already converged on the gates like vultures.

"Mr. Sterling! Is it true you forced your three-year-old son to stand barefoot in the snow?" "Claudia! Did you authorize the sedation of Sarah Whitaker?"

Claudia shrieked, pulling her designer jacket over her head to block the cameras, while Mark stared straight ahead into the flashing lights, a hollow shell of the ambitious executive he had been only an hour prior.
