Chapter 8 - THE NEW DAWN

Three months later.

The top floor of the Vance Tower offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city skyline. The harbor where Emily had once been humiliated was visible in the distance, bathed in the bright morning sunlight.

Emily stood by the floor-to-ceiling glass window, dressed in an elegant navy blazer, holding a warm cup of coffee.

The heavy mahogany doors opened, and Victor walked in. His shoulder was fully healed, though he now walked with a polished silver cane.

"The board of directors just unanimously approved the new charitable foundation," Victor announced, putting a file on her massive glass desk. "Fifty million dollars dedicated to funding shelters, education, and legal aid for underprivileged service workers."

Emily smiled warmly. "Good. No one in this city should ever be abused just because they wear a uniform."

Victor walked over to her side, looking out at the city. "You've done more for this company in three months than Marcus did in a decade. Your father would be immensely proud of you, Emily."

Emily reached into her pocket and pulled out the old gold watch. Victor’s team had fully restored it—the gold polished to a brilliant shine, the broken hinge repaired with solid platinum.

"I used to think this watch was just a sad reminder of what I lost," Emily said softly, tracing the raven crest with her thumb. "Now I realize... it was my father’s way of giving me the power to fight back."

"So," Victor asked, turning to her with a rare, genuine smile. "What is the new CEO of Vance Global going to do next?"

Emily placed the watch inside her desk drawer and turned around, her eyes gleaming with absolute confidence and unstoppable power.

"Next?" Emily smiled, her voice echoing with the strength of her bloodline. "Next, Uncle... we take over the rest of the world."
