🔥 CHAPTER 7 — FIVE YEARS LATER... I RETURNED TO THE MOUNTAIN, AND SOMETHING WAS WAITING FOR ME 😨🦁

Five years passed.

Life slowly returned to normal.

The story of the rescued lion cub spread around the world, but eventually the headlines faded, and people moved on.

I never did.

Not a single day.

Sometimes, late at night, I would replay that moment in my mind—the tiny cub hanging over the abyss... the fearless lioness... and Ghost silently disappearing into the forest.

Then one spring morning, I received an unexpected letter from the wildlife reserve.

"We believe you should come back."

There was no explanation.

Only a photograph.

My hands trembled as I looked at it.

The image showed a fully grown male lion standing proudly on the same cliff where I had saved the cub years earlier.

Around his neck was a faint white scar in exactly the place where my jacket zipper had accidentally scratched him while I pulled him to safety.

It was him.

The cub had grown into a magnificent lion.

Two days later, I returned to the reserve.

The rangers greeted me warmly, but their smiles quickly faded.

One of them spoke quietly.

"Things have changed."

The reserve had been suffering from illegal poachers for months.

Several lions had disappeared.

Camera traps had been destroyed.

Even experienced rangers had stopped patrolling alone.

Ghost had not been seen for almost a year.

Many believed the legendary lion was dead.

As the sun began to set, we drove toward the old canyon.

The air felt strangely heavy.

Halfway there, one ranger suddenly slammed on the brakes.

Fresh tire tracks.

Deep boot prints.

And an empty cartridge case lying beside the trail.

Someone with rifles had entered the protected area.

The team immediately radioed headquarters.

Before anyone could respond...

A single gunshot echoed through the valley.

Then came another.

And another.

May you like

Somewhere deep inside the forest...

A lion roared in pain.
