Chapter 10 - THE UNFINISHED LEGACYSix months after the storm that nearly destroyed everything I built, the grand gates of Greystone Manor stood open for a very different kind of gathering.

There were no corporate vultures, no backstabbing relatives, and no politicians hiding behind expensive suits. Instead, the lawn was filled with local families, honest workers, and children running across the manicured green grass under the warm spring sun.
At the center of the garden stood a polished black granite monument. Engraved upon it were simple, enduring words: Sofia Carter. A loving mother, a loyal friend, and the soul of this home.
I stood beside Rosie, who now lived in the newly appointed family wing of the manor under my permanent legal guardianship, watching her place a fresh bouquet of white lilies at the base of the stone.
“Do you think she can see us, Mr. Damian?” Rosie asked softly, tugging on my jacket sleeve.
I crouched down beside her, placing my hand gently on her shoulder, looking out across the bright, vibrant estate that had finally been cleansed of its darkness.
