Chapter 20 - THE NEW DAWNOne year later, the grand iron gates of Greystone Manor stood wide open—not for high-society vultures or corrupt corporate partners, but for the community.

The old estate had been officially transformed into the Carter-Vance Foundation Center, a sanctuary and educational trust providing housing, security, and futures for children who had lost their parents to corporate greed and violence.

I stood on the front lawn under the bright, warm summer sun, watching Rosie—now four years old, laughing and running across the green grass with a dozen other children.

The platinum ring with the two hand-carved stars rested securely in a velvet display case inside my private study, not as a trophy of war, but as a permanent reminder of the price of truth and the power of justice.

Marco walked up beside me, handing me a fresh cup of morning coffee.

“Quiet day, Mr. Vance,” Marco noted with a rare, faint smile.

I took a sip of the coffee, looking out across the sparkling expanse of the Long Island Sound where the horizon stretched out endlessly, bright, clear, and completely unclouded.

“The best kind of day there is, Marco,” I replied, smiling as Rosie waved enthusiastically at us from across the lawn.
