CHAPTER 7 — The Girl Everyone Thought Was Dead

The rescue team followed the tiny footprints through the frozen valley.
Each step became fainter beneath fresh snow.
The storm was getting worse.
One officer finally shook his head.
"We're too late..."
But Titan refused to stop.
The giant guardian lowered his nose to the snow and pushed forward with relentless determination.
The puppy followed close behind.
Nearly two miles later...
Titan suddenly barked.
Once.
Twice.
The rescuers rushed toward the sound.
Half-hidden beneath the roots of a fallen pine tree was a tiny shelter made from broken branches.
Inside...
A little girl lay unconscious, hugging a worn teddy bear against her chest.
Her lips were blue.
Her heartbeat was weak.
But she was alive.
When the puppy squeezed through the branches and licked her frozen face, the little girl's eyes slowly opened.
Through cracked lips, she whispered just one word.
"Snow..."
That was the puppy's name.
Tears filled every rescuer's eyes.
For five days...
She had survived freezing temperatures, wild animals, and complete loneliness.
Not because she was strong enough.
But because she believed her puppy would come back with help.
May you like
And somehow...
He had.
