CHAPTER 9 — Titan Faced the Killer
News of the girl's survival spread quickly.
So did the killer's panic.
Late one night, a black pickup rolled silently toward the farmhouse.
The driver wore a hood and carried a hunting rifle.
He wasn't there for revenge.
He was there to finish what he'd started.
The farmhouse lights were dark.
Everything seemed quiet.
Exactly as he hoped.
He climbed over the fence...
And stepped into the yard.
Then everything went silent.
Too silent.
Out of the darkness...
Two glowing amber eyes appeared.
Titan.
The giant guardian didn't bark.
He simply stood between the stranger and the house.
Then three more guardian dogs emerged from the shadows.
The man raised his rifle—
But before he could pull the trigger, Titan exploded forward with terrifying speed.
The rifle flew into the snow.
The intruder crashed to the ground as the giant dog pinned him without a single fatal bite.
Seconds later...
Police vehicles surrounded the farm.
The officers had been waiting nearby after receiving a warning from investigators.
When they searched the suspect's truck, they found forged land contracts, cash, fake license plates...
And the tool used to cut the family's brake lines.
As detectives handcuffed the man, the little girl stepped onto the porch, wrapped in a warm blanket.
She looked at Titan through tears.
"You saved Snow..."
She whispered.
"Then you saved me."
The giant guardian quietly walked over, lowered his massive head, and gently rested it against her shoulder.
For the first time since the tragedy...
The little girl smiled.
But hidden inside the suspect's phone was one final message that made every detective go pale:
May you like
"If I fail... make sure the child never talks."
The nightmare wasn't over yet...
